A Turning Point can be a time of decisive change. It’s when things cannot go on as before an you seek to discover d new impulses and find how life is channeled into your journey down a new path.
What is it? An Experiential Healing Process
Turning Point Residential Healing Retreat, is an intensive program created to help people who have chosen to change their lives, transform, heal, and move forward. It is open to anyone who has these desires, wishes, and commitments.
We have found that during weekly hour-based therapy, there is usually not enough time to deeply address the major themes in one’s life at the level in which each person needs to go. And often a retreat may be a wonderful experience, but what happens after when you return to the same environment you were in before? And, for slightly extreme situations where psych ward or rehab are too intense, a gentler option can be useful.
Each Turning Point is deliberately pitched at the right level of intensity and duration for each Individual participant.. The process provides a space to uncover what is quintessential to your life right now and gives you the opportunity to work on yourself as thoroughly as you wish.
As each of us are following an individual path, so too do our methods vary according to what you need. The focus is that you receive what you need. Each Turning Point is different for each person.

What to expect
You will have the opportunity to work on yourself daily with a personalised schedule in a one-on-one setting with each of the therapists. Healing modalities such as Transpersonal Hypnosis, Past Life Regression, Non Violent Communication, Astrology, Life Between Lives, Conscious Communication, Transformation Game, Ayurvedic massage, guided and deep relaxation, working with Active Imagination, Dreamwork and more, are all individually designed programs that can vary according to your progress to support the frame of assistance you need for your personal development.
We consider that a focus on creating clear next steps throughout your time here along with support post retreat is fundamental as well.
Creating new habits that continue post retreat is another essential.Optional daily group meditations begin your day to ground yourself and closing meditations facilitate the time and energy to allow yourself a moment of integration and inner peace.
Time alone to Integrate and Time together with other Participants.
You may choose to spend some time with other participants socially and enjoy a support network outside of therapy hours. You will have shared living spaces and there is a garden in each housing situation as well as a private bedroom, allowing you the possibility to build bonds with other people sharing a similar journey. Usually clients get to know each other over optional communal lunchtime meals and during the Transformation Game where intentions are discovered and shared and become the frame of reference during Turning Point.
You will also have some alone time in order to integrate everything so that when you complete the program it will come naturally and easy to continue building on the base you are growing for change.
The location in Tuscany also offers the opportunity for walks on the beach, in the forest, or in the town centre just a few minutes away. The Sanctum sits within a garden of fruit and olive trees and also has a meditation hut, and a small creek on the grounds for walks or contemplation. Ayurvedic massages will be arranged from a centre we have been collaborating with for over nine years. For those who prefer not to have a massage there is also reflexology and reiki, or other options to consider that help integrate mind and body such as Tai chi, Qi Gong or Yoga. What's most important is that you can work with what feels comfortable at the rhythm that suits you.
We create a regular and consistent form of post Turning Point check-ins as well as exercises and sessions that reinforce your ability to follow the next steps you planned or adjust them accordingly. In some situations we may recommend continued therapies and exercises. Often, the best results come from attending one Turning Point and a few months later returning to create a complete transformation. Follow-up is also done thereafter to ensure your transformation is supported.
Since the founding of Verziere Sanctum, the Turning Point Retreats have unfolded organically with a constant focus on personal development in small groups and individuals in order to provide people with the attention and support they require.
Our program is based upon many decades of working with clients and with collaborating with other therapists working with clients and over 10 years of experience training and mentoring therapists.
The insights developed from these experiences have led us to thoughtfully combine several methods in practice along with daily debriefing among the therapists to gain a broader perspective in order to create deeper, more profound ways of transformation and develop the next active steps in one's life journey.
Supervision and Feedback
Another important baseline for our program came from years of working on supervised weekends with therapists and volunteers collaborating together for five to seven day periods. Our therapists would work in pairs with one observing and the other facilitating. Between supervision and debrief discussions individual methodologies evolved with the support and collaboration of the observing and participating therapists and their supervisors. This also often included the feedback of the volunteer as well.
Remember even therapists need therapy. Our own therapists continue working with their own personal development both for themselves as growing beings and to be better therapists. Therefore we welcome therapists who need a retreat or respite in order to integrate all they are experiencing.
It is also possible to organise an Individual Turning Point:
working with our therapists in pairs, creating a unique program for yourself residential or non-residential.
The Transformation Game is a board game created by the Findhorn Foundation.
The game helps you to connect to your true Self, to gain insight into what is truly going on in your life, to realise the things that are holding you back, challenging, or frustrating you, and to discover potential solutions that work for you. It is an opportunity to gain some deeper knowing, some higher wisdom, some practical guidance to help you with your life and to understand where a particular block might be and how to overcome it. When played in a group setting it is highly cooperative and synergistic in nature, engendering both mutual insight and support.
How to play
Before the play begins each player honours the game by setting an intention which they wish to work on, as well as the offering of a skill or gift which they intend to contribute. With the questions and group feedback the players learn to clarify their intentions. The facilitators and other players may help each person form or finalise their intention.
This board game brings into awareness another dimension of life. Each of the patterns on the board represent a life path. The game starts where you are yet to incarnate into your human form. Holding true to your intention, you select some cards that go into your personal Unconscious Envelope. You are then born and go through the physical level, the emotional level, the intellectual level, and the spiritual level. In our style of facilitating the game, we have added the rebirth level, the love level, and the energy level, all of which are optional and available as needed as per individual case. Depending on where the insights and awareness arrive during the game, you might skim through or spend more time on one particular level.
The cards are a fundamental part in guiding the process, there are six kinds:
• The Angel cards: Higher energy and archetype wisdom.
• Insights: Represent ideas and ways of moving forward.
• Setbacks: A way of looking into a problem or situation.
• Awareness: Tokens with single words which reflect back a player's growing consciousness and progress in the game.
• Universal Feedback: Cards which mirror the universe in relation to the individual player. It is amazing to experience feedback in the game and work with it, emulating how to cope with feedback in life. It helps you understand another point of view.
• Blessings: Tokens to help you move up faster and clear away pain.
The path of progress around the board is a beautifully shaped series of squares, each of which allows for scope and interpretation of one's intention.
The game can be challenging and fun at the same time, the variety of possibilities and ways of responding are both gentle and voluntary.
Activities that a player may choose to partake in during the game are: sharing, elaborating, exploring, being in nature, singing, dancing or simply doing nothing.
The game then ends when you have progressed through your Unconscious Envelope and completed the levels that you have chosen to undertake, or when you arrive to an agreed timeframe, as you can then take any remaining cards as next step guidance and you learn how you can work with those post game.
• You are encouraged to simply be yourself, and if you feel like it, help and support others to do the same.
• To explore through the cards and general game to play the meanings and relevance of your intention in the here and now.
• Release what you have been holding back and continue forward in your next steps in life.
Healing experience length: Three consecutive days.
Next steps are created in post game dialogue so you have practical solutions to implement what you have learned.
